A perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Sloths, monkeys and surf on Playa Matapalo.
Rafiki Beach Camp sits right on Playa Matapalo, 45 minutes from the main lodge, with four luxury safari tents wrapped around a swimming pool just steps from the sand.
Expect hammocks under the palms, sloths and monkeys overhead, and dolphins or pelicans offshore. Guests get bed and breakfast, with kitchen facilities available and nearby dining options for the rest of the day.
It's also the launch point for the sea kayak route through the mangroves and the Savegre River estuary, and a short drive from Manuel Antonio National Park, Marino Ballena National Park and Hacienda Barú.
"What an amazing time we had at the Rafiki Safaris Lodge. The beauty of Rafiki alone is worth the visit. The Staff, from the owners to the cooks, waiters, guides etc, were all just fantastic. The adventures (rafting, hikes, horseback riding) were all top notch experiences worth the visit alone. I cannot recommend the Rafiki Safari Lodge enough for your Costa Rica experience ."
