Lekker Bar and Braai

Lekker is the Afrikaans word word for awesome, cool, fun, great or sweet! It is probably one of the most used words in South Africa, and we find it appropriate for the name of our bar. It is the center piece the main lodge. The bar itself is a massive horseshoe which allows guests to chat about their days adventures and meet new friends while sipping on tropical cocktails. We have a full collection of beverages to keep your spirits up as well as fun natural juices and smoothies for the kids.

South African BBQ

Braai is a South African word for BBQ. South Africans pride themselves on their culinary skills on the grill. Rafiki embraces that cultural heritage with some wonderfully spiced dishes. We also incorporate local Costa Rican dishes on the menu.  Our 20 year experience of home cooked meals inspired by a variety of chefs through the years are refined, filling and delicious. Even if you have a plant based diet, we will keep your energy levels primed for adventure.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 9;30am. Coffee and tea is served at 6:15am, so you can enjoy the birds at the feeder.

Lunch

Lunch is served from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. We do include a lunch with activities, but if you do not sign up for an activity, you can choose something from the menu below.

Dinner

Dinner is served from 5:00pm to 8:oo pm. Each night we will have 3 entrees available. One is usually a red meat, the second option is a white meat option, and the third option is a vegetarian meal. We include desserts with the entrees…
